Jamie Contreras, age 11, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, passed away, leaving behind a family and community deeply affected by his loss.
Born to Candace Contreras and Claudio Contreras, Jamie was known as a loving son and a protective older brother who brought warmth and meaning to the lives of those around him.
His family remembers him as a child with a quiet presence at times, yet filled with kindness, humor, curiosity, and a sincere heart.
Jamie enjoyed spending his time in ways that reflected his interests and personality. He loved football and video games, finding joy in both active play and moments of relaxation.
He also valued his involvement in the youth church, where he could connect with others and be part of a supportive environment.
Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, including his siblings, cousins, and extended relatives. These relationships were central to his life, and he was known for being caring and attentive toward those he loved.
His passing has created a profound sense of grief among his family members. He is remembered not only for who he was, but for the love he shared and the memories he created during his short life.
His family expresses that his absence leaves a void that cannot be easily put into words. Jamie’s spirit and the impact he had on those closest to him will continue to be felt in the days, months, and years ahead.
Jamie was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jason Stojak Sr. He is survived by his parents, Candace Contreras and Claudio Contreras, as well as his siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many others who held him close in their hearts.
Each of these family members carries their own memories of Jamie, and together they form a network of love that honors his life.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the funeral home. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM, with David Morgan officiating. Interment will take place at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg.
These services provide an opportunity for family, friends, and community members to gather, pay their respects, and support one another during this difficult time.
In the wake of Jamie’s passing, support has also extended beyond immediate family. Friends, community members, and others who have been touched by his story have shared messages of sympathy and encouragement.
