After completing his studies, Ty went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Concordia University of Edmonton.

Known for being organized, reliable, and team-oriented, he carried these traits into every role he took on.
In 2018, Ty transitioned into coaching, marking the beginning of a meaningful new chapter in his life. From that point forward, he became deeply involved in developing athletes across Alberta.
His coaching experience included work with Volleyball Alberta programs as well as clubs such as FOG, Park Elite, Ravens, and Valor.
Across these organizations, he worked with athletes of all ages and skill levels, from young beginners just learning the game to advanced players striving for high performance.
Ty was known for his ability to connect with athletes positively and encouragingly. He focused not only on technical development but also on building confidence, teamwork, and discipline.
Whether in indoor volleyball or beach volleyball environments, he brought energy, patience, and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching.
